Celebrated on Australia Day as a protest against the arrival of the first settlement in the territory, the Yabun Festival is the largest Aboriginal celebration of the year. The festival celebrates the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. The public discovers the richness of these populations, whose cultures are considered the oldest in the world. It is held in Sydney's Victoria Park and attracts between 10,000 and 15,000 spectators annually. In 2022, the Yabun celebrated its 20th anniversary.
