HAYMARKET
Located in the north-west of Darling Harbour, this is the place to find inexpensive stores and numerous restaurants.
The Haymarket neighborhood extends east of Sydney, past Elizabeth St to Surry Hills and northwest of Darling Harbour. The cheap stores and many restaurants around the beautiful Paddy's Market-Market City building indicate that this is Sydney's Chinatown. It is often said that you go to Dixon Street, even when you want to reach a Chinese restaurant or stores that are not exactly in Dixon St but in the adjacent streets. It is one of the liveliest neighborhoods in the city.
