BARRENJOEY LIGHTHOUSE
Lighthouse built from Hawkesbury sandstone overlooking Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, Broken Bay and Sydney's north coast.
Built from Hawkesbury sandstone, it was completed in 1881. From Barrenjoey Lighthouse, you can see Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, Broken Bay and the northern coast of Sydney. The scenery is absolutely sublime, and you can't get enough of it! The lighthouse can only be reached by a one kilometer long walk on a rocky track from the parking lot. It is the most northern point of Sydney. Between May and September, take the opportunity to bring your binoculars and try to observe whales in the distance.
