DR MARY BOOTH LOOKOUT
Sydney-based site dedicated to Mary Booth (1869-1956), a physician who worked to preserve the environment.
Located just a stone's throw from Jeffrey Street Wharf, one of Sydney's ferry terminals, this beautiful green space leads to Waruda Street and the official residences of the Governor-General of Australia and the Prime Minister of Australia. Following the path through the site for about 200 meters, one is dazzled by a different view of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge across the bay. Mary Booth (1869-1956) was a physician who lived in Kirribilli and worked for the preservation of the environment, and in particular of this part of Sydney Harbour.
