HYDE PARK
A park in Sydney featuring the work "Yininmadyemi - Thou didst let fall" by Aboriginal artist Tony Albert.
Hyde Park is one of the city center's green spaces. In Sydney's early days, it was a racing and sports ground. The central avenue, lined with magnificent fig trees, links two of the city's landmarks: theArchibald Fountain and the Anzac Memorial. Since 2015, Aboriginal artist Tony Albert's "Yininmadyemi - Thou didst let fall" has also been on display, recognizing the service of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and women in the Australian Defence Force. It depicts seven giant rifle bullets.
