This garden, located near Chinatown, represents the perfect integration of Asian culture in the city of Sydney.
The Chinese Friendship Garden was designed by the City of Sydney with its sister city, Guangzhou, China. The gardens were developed in Darling Harbour, near Chinatown. They represent the perfect integration of Asian culture into multicultural Sydney and complement an area already rich in Chinese culture and heritage. The gardens were opened in 1988 as part of Sydney's bicentennial celebrations.
