WATSONS BAY
Fishing village with two trails offering magnificent views of Sydney Harbour and the Pacific Ocean.
Watsons Bay is where Governor Phillip landed in 1788, and where Australia's oldest fishing village was established in the same year. Two trails are available. The first, the South Head Heritage Trail, takes you northwards, with magnificent views of Sydney Harbour and Hornby Lighthouse. The second trail takes you to the east coast and The Gap, a cliff top with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. From here, the coastal path leads south to Watsons Bay.
