MRS MACQUARIE'S POINT- MRS MACQUARIE'S FLESH
Once home to Elizabeth Henrietta Macquarie, it offers breathtaking views of the harbour, Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
It offers breathtaking views over the harbor, with both the Opera House and Harbour Bridge in the background. This famous place was the home of Elizabeth Henrietta Macquarie (1778-1835), wife of Lachlan Macquarie (1762-1824) who was Governor of New South Wales from 1810 to 1821. Mrs Macquaries Chair is the bench hand-carved into the rock by convicts , where Mrs Macquarie used to sit to read and watch the ships sailing for England.
