POTTS POINT
Sydney's Potts Point and Elizabeth Bay buildings reflect the history and developments since colonization.
The street names and buildings of Potts Point and Elizabeth Bay reflect the history of settlement and development since that settlement. Many locations, streets and buildings are named after those who settled in this area of Sydney to develop their land. Notably, Wylde Street commemorates Judge Advocate John Wylde, who received his land in 1822, while Macleay Street honors Alexander Macleay. The Macleay House is one of the few still standing today.
