Head for the Blue Mountains! This winter festival warms hearts and hosts many artists and shows.
This festival is aptly named: the magic of winter takes place at this event in the heart of the Blue Mountains. It is the biggest festival of the year in the region. During the parade, the main street of Katoomba is closed to traffic and becomes an open-air performance hall. The festival, which has been in place for 30 years, is always organized by volunteers and features artists, musicians, dancers, drummers and choirs. The repertoire is eclectic to say the least!
