THE HYDRO MAJESTIC
This hotel in Medlow Bath is both Mark Foy's dream and folly, and boasts modern facilities.
The Hydro Majestic is both the dream and the folly of Mark Foy, an Australian industrialist of the early 20th century. Inaugurated in 1904, the hotel was abandoned after a short period of glory, before being gradually restored by a large hotel group in the 2000s. Equipped with modern facilities, without sacrificing the aesthetics of the early years, it is the palace of the Blue Mountains. In addition to the main building and its outbuildings, an annex building, The Hydro Majestic Pavilion, serves as a reception for visitors.
