THE BIG PICTURE
Giant painting measuring 100 meters long and 12 meters high, created by artist Ando in 2001, depicting the Outback.
In an annex building of the Silver City Mint and Art Centre is this giant painting of 100 meters long and 12 meters high, representing the Outback. The result of this work, created in 2001 by the artist Ando, is eloquent. In a few figures, we can see 20,000 trees, 1,500 hills, 3,000 clouds, 20,000 small stones and 1,000 larger ones... It is not less than 3 tons of paint that were necessary to complete what is now the largest acrylic painting in the world. A must see.
