Opened in December 2017, the Byron Solar Train connects downtown Byron to the North Beach neighborhood and Byron Arts Estate via a 2-mile coastline. Far from the current aesthetic canons, this train is made of two cars dating from the 40s perfectly restored (the twin of the locomotive is in the railway museum in Tenterfield). On board, you can relax as you travel through the coastal rainforest and coastal wetlands. The trip takes 10 minutes one way or 25 minutes round trip from the North Beach station.
