JASSERIE DU COQ NOIR

Historically run by women, this former summer farm once housed the animals and milk production essential to the famous Ambert and Montbrison cheeses. The association Sur les traces du coq noir looks after the place and keeps its history alive. The large thatched roof protects a small museum of mountain pasture life. Here you can discover the local terroir and taste regional products from local producers. The site is also the starting point for a number of events designed to help visitors discover and preserve the heritage of the Forézien region.
