Community spirit, sustainability and ecology: these are the watchwords of Megan and Brent, an adventurous couple who have lived in Hervey Beach for over 15 years. After several trips, they opened their carbon-neutral hostel. The large, lush garden, dotted with rainwater harvesters, compost, solar panels and a vegetable garden, is outlined by wide walkways lined with various cabins. The small rooms are cozy, the facilities are designed from recycled materials, and the dormitories are spacious and air-conditioned.
