Lady Elliot Island is a coral cay located at the southern end of Australia's iconic Great Barrier Reef, 80 km northeast of Bundaberg, nestled between Fraser Island and Lady Musgrave Island. The island is located in a highly protected "green zone" of the Marine National Park and is a sanctuary for over 1,200 species of marine life. Lady Elliot Island is home to a low-key eco resort that strives to provide a true ecotourism experience for its visitors. Scenic flights to Lady Elliot Island depart daily from four (4) convenient departure ports: Gold Coast, Brisbane (Redcliffe), Hervey Bay/Fraser Coast or Bundaberg.

The staff does a fantastic job responding to your needs and the food was plentiful, well done and presented.
Snorkeling more than met expectations (coral, fish, sharks, turtles). We were at end of turtle hatching season so did not get to see that. We will have to go back at a different time of year to hopefully see the manta rays.
