The Global Waterfront is a popular hostel in Cairns as it is located right on the Esplanade just a few meters from the lagoon. It is quiet and clean, with a young and relaxed atmosphere. From time to time the staff organizes free trips for backpackers around Cairns to the waterfalls but the atmosphere is less festive than in other hostels. We recommend this place especially for young couples looking for a private room. Shuttle buses pick you up from the Cairns airport.
