The Lost City, off the beaten track, is often overlooked by tourists who prefer the cascades and waterfalls of Litchfield. It has to be said that this lost city has to be earned: the 10 km of 4x4 tracks are technical and require experience in driving over rough terrain. Getting lost in the nooks and crannies of this secret sandstone town, with its narrow passageways, domes and walls ten times your size, gives the strong impression that an ancient civilization was walking in your footsteps millennia before you.
