CUTTA CUTTA CAVES
Caves in Katherine, home to stalactite and stalagmite limestone formations and bat species.
These caves are home to limestone formations of stalactites and stalagmites, as well as five species of bat (including the orange horseshoe bat) and the harmless Brown Tree Snake. These must be visited with a guide, every hour (except midday) between 9am and 3pm. Take the short 10-20 min Tropical Savanna Walk and discover some of the local plants and how they survive in this dry environment! The surrounding area is also ideal for birdwatching. Closed shoes required.
