ADELAIDE HOUSE MUSEUM
A museum in Alice Springs showing pioneer living conditions and the first pedal-powered radio.
The history of the Outback's first hospital dates back to 1926. It was created by John Flynn, who also founded the Flying Doctors and the Air School, two essential programs for people living in the bush. Discover pioneer living conditions in the original building. Don't forget to go down to the cellar to discover the air-conditioning system invented by Flynn. And discover the first pedal-powered radio! The tour is fairly quick and includes a coffee or tea at the end.
