A small but very impressive site, located 35 km south of Alice Springs, distinguished by sacred engravings dating back 30,000 years.

Ewaninga Rock Carvings, Napwerte by its Arrernte name, is a small site that we found very impressive, with its sacred engravings on the rocks (petroglyphs), some dating back 30,000 years! Located 35 km south of Alice Springs on a track not suitable for small cars. Just 10 minutes from Ooraminna Station Homestead, which offers accommodation and meals on Sunday lunchtimes in splendid surroundings, to be booked in advance on the site.
