A place of meetings and exchanges, this art centre welcomes artists from Alice Springs and Hermannsburg who will share with you their painting techniques. The owners of the centre are of Aboriginal origin. Many artists are exposed and their paintings are available for sale. In an ethical approach, the centre returns the maximum of its profits to the artist. The main objective of Iltja Ntjarra is to support the style "Hermannsburg School" which continues to paint in tradition. Albert Namatjira is one of the greatest Australian artists of the th century. The Centre is funded by the Australian government and strongly committed to improving the economic participation of Aboriginal people and maintaining cultural heritage.
