CHÂTEAU DES MARTINANCHES
Castle in Saint-Dier-d'Auvergne with reception rooms, a vaulted living room, guest rooms and a garden.
The Martinanches provide a gentle way of life that we liked. Nestled at the bottom of a valley in a park surrounded by a moat, the castle, originally an arms depot, was redesigned in the 15th and 18th centuries. The reception rooms give a pleasant impression of intimacy. Vaulted living room with monumental fireplace, French ceilings, fern parquet floors, porcelain from the Compagnie des Indes are to be discovered. The castle also houses guest rooms. The surrounding garden is the perfect setting for this jewel. Guided tours are available.
