ADELAIDE BOTANIC GARDENS
Beautiful botanical gardens in Adelaide, featuring a tropical greenhouse designed by architect Guy Maron.
Adelaide's botanical gardens are beautiful and well worth a stroll. The intoxicating fragrance of the roses near the tropical greenhouse, designed by architect Guy Maron, is particularly appealing. The Bicentennial Conservatory was opened in November 1988 to celebrate Australia's bicentenary. At 100 m long, 47 m wide and 27 m high, it is the largest greenhouse in the southern hemisphere. Plus: a pleasant cafeteria surrounded by vegetation. Guided tours available.
