The Aboriginal Embassy is a self-proclaimed self-employed embassy, originally composed of a simple hut, installed in 1972 on the lawn before the entrance of the Old Parliament (now Museum of Australian Democracy).
Since 2016, an impressive number of other makeshift shelters have come to settle nearby. Designed to attract the attention of the Australian people and visitors from around the world, this summary camp continues pending an entire recognition of Aboriginal rights.
