REMARKABLE CAVE
Tasman National Park site with a platform to admire the tunnel-shaped cave, a geological wonder.
The access to Remarkable Cave requires to take a staircase (155 steps) which progressively goes down in the middle of the sandstone cliffs. At the bottom of this staircase, a platform allows to admire the cave in the shape of a tunnel. The formation of this geological wonder is due to the collapse of a part of the wall under the action of time and the crash of the waves. Pieces of collapsed rock are still visible at the foot of the cliffs. Depending on the season, the place (but not the platform) can be invaded by water.
