HENTY DUNES
A unique and important site for the Aboriginal community, featuring a series of giant dunes 30 m high and 15 km long
A series of giant dunes 30 m high and 15 km long, facing the roaring forties. This area is unique in Tasmania and has an important meaning for the aboriginal community. The camping is free. Quad bikes can be hired from the parking lot. 1 hour and 50 minutes walk to Ocean Beach, the longest beach in Tasmania.
Warning : if you plan to reach the sea from the parking lot and the first dunes, take your bearings because the footprints disappear very quickly with the wind and it is therefore very easy to get lost.
