ST MARY'S CATHEDRAL
This Gothic Revival cathedral is Perth's first Catholic church, in the center of Victoria Square.
A neo-Gothic cathedral whose construction began in the 1860s, masses are celebrated here several times a week. It is the first Catholic church in the city of Perth in the center of Victoria Square. It has undergone several renovations and attempts at renovation over the course of history. It was only in the years 1990-2000 that the work could be finished because it was interrupted during the Great Depression, leaving the cathedral unfinished for 70 years. The nave of the cathedral is original.
