Esperance is a town on the southeast coast of Western Australia, around 725 kilometers from Perth. With a population of around 15,000, the Esperance region offers spectacular scenery, including over 500 kilometers of coastline ranging from the gently rolling bays and picturesque islands of the Recherche Archipelago to the dramatic cliffs of Australia's Great Bay. The town enjoys a moderate Mediterranean climate throughout the year and offers a full range of services, including shopping, educational, medical and social facilities. The Esperance Tourist Information Center is open seven days a week and is located in the historic museum village. Friendly, knowledgeable staff are on hand to help with accommodation and tour requests, as well as providing further information on things to see and do in the Esperance area and throughout Western Australia. The center also sells train and bus tickets, national park passes, show tickets and souvenirs.
