PINK LAKE
This 14-kilometre-long pink lake in Northampton is a photographer's paradise.
A pink lake, 14 km long, a paradise for photographers. It's a salt lake, and its color comes from a bacterium present in the salt, which is rich in beta-carotene. The best view of the lake is from Port Gregory. In bad weather, the lake won't necessarily be pink. Its color is intensely active when the sun shines. If you have sunshine with a few clouds, they'll reflect off the lake to create a magnificent landscape. 45 km northwest of Northampton.
