National park accessible by tarmac road to discover colorful flowers and a sumptuous rugged landscape.
Access is by paved road from Carnarvon, and a good car or four-wheel drive is required to explore the park. North of Gascoyne Junction, the national park displays its colorful flowers between August and October, making it an ideal time for hiking and camping in the rugged, beautiful landscape. Be sure to bring enough water and gasoline. There is no lodging in the park, the closest being at Gascoyne Junction or Mount Augustus Tourist Park.
