Carnarvon-based communications station converted into a museum, allowing visitors to board a scaled space shuttle.
Built by NASA in 1966 and closed in 1975, it was an important communication station and is now a museum. It participated in many space missions, including those of the Apollo 11 program (first step on the moon by Neil Armstrong). The parabola measures 30 m in diameter and weighs 300 tons. You can equip yourself with an astronaut's suit and embark on a space shuttle to scale. To avoid for the claustrophobic.
