KARIJINI VISITOR CENTRE
Visitor Centre for useful information on the park and an exhibition on its flora and fauna.
It's well worth stopping off at the Visitor Centre at the start of your visit. As well as offering souvenirs and, above all, useful information for your visit to the park, you'll find an exhibition on the park's flora and fauna and the culture of the local Aborigines, the Banyjima nation. The architecture of the building is significant for the Banyjima, representing a goanna (a species of varan) in motion. The tail represents the Banyjima's past, the head their future, and the body their laws that guide behavior and spirituality.
