GLOVE DOT
A rocky headland with an extraordinary landscape: turquoise water meets red cliffs.
Gantheaume Point, a ten-minute drive from the center of Broome at the end of Cable Beach, is well worth a visit. Named by the explorer Baudin in 1801, this rocky point is visited for its extraordinary scenery, where turquoise water meets red cliffs, but also to see 130 million-year-old dinosaur footprints on the ground at low tide. Horse racing fans will appreciate the Broome Turf Club, just next door, where races are held from May to September on the reddish earth.
