Even on the very touristy and ultimately undeveloped island of La Maddalena, you can get away from the city and find a small country inn. In the middle of the scrubland and overlooked by imposing granite rocks, this restaurant has a veranda in front of the house and tables in the garden. Suckling pigs are roasted on a spit in the large fireplace, pasta is blackened with squid ink, antipasti are brought in from the sea every day. We love the rural and authentic setting and the informal atmosphere.
