MUSEO DEL SUGHERO
Museum tracing the history of the traditional work of cork in Sardinia in Calangianus.
Opened in 2011, the Calangianus Cork Museum traces the history of traditional cork working in the region. The museum is housed in the former Franciscan convent, which dates back to the 18th century. On two floors, old working tools, machines and utensils used in the past for the cultivation and working of cork are on display. There is also a heterogeneous collection of objects made of cork: checkerboards, Christmas cribs... A multimedia section illustrates through videos all the stages of this work. Interesting!
