TORRE DI LONGOSARDO
Tour on the natural promontory of Falcone Point in Santa Teresa di Gallura.
Santa Teresa di Gallura is dominated by a magnificent defensive example built by the Aragonese. They had built a system of defensive towers all along the Sardinian coast to be able to face quickly the arrival of possible invaders. The tower of Santa Teresa, also called Torre Spagnola, the "Spanish tower", dates from the 16th century and offers a superb panorama of the granite coast of Gallura and the white cliffs of Bonifacio opposite. Standing on the natural promontory of the Falcone point, the locals call it "torre Longosardo".
