Granite promontory in Santa Teresa, one of the beautiful wild places of Sardinia

The peninsula of Capo Testa, a granite promontory connected by an isthmus, is one of the most beautiful wild places in Sardinia. You can reach the capo by a superb panoramic road whose terminus is in Cala Spinosa, just before the lighthouse. We advise you to park well in advance in summer or to come early because the parking spaces are quickly taken by the crowd.

The huge blocks of granite polished by the wind give this place a majestic and supernatural dimension, as the anthropomorphic shapes of some rocks are disturbing. Capo Testa is also a place where you can feel the breath of nature and the slowness of time. It is enough to stroll along the paths (a tangle of more or less precise paths) that cross the small talwegs or to play the goat jumping from boulder to boulder to be amazed and feel free and as elusive as the water. Winding between the rocky masses sculpted by time, and discovering the small heavenly coves, was one of our most beautiful experiences in Sardinia, especially to admire a sunset on the sea: unforgettable.

Cala Spinosa, below the restaurant, is a cove of polished rocks plunging into emerald water facing Corsica.

Cala Francese, under the lighthouse. A small beach of blond sand nestled between the granite walls. A magical place!

Cala Grande and the Valle della Luna. In the southwest of the peninsula. A small hippie community has taken up residence in the granite caves or huts built around this beach. Unique and amazing.
