This restaurant at the foot of the citadel boasts a lovely shaded terrace and an engagingly tranquil atmosphere. The warm, unobtrusive setting accompanies a harmoniously presented cuisine d'auteur. The chef draws his inspiration from local produce, with a strong focus on the sea that spreads out before you. His specialty is pan-seared tuna with poppy seeds and zucchini, black olives and tomatoes. Special mention for the sommelier's wine pairings. The choice of vintages and bottles is simply stunning.

We had the selection of sea food anti pasti, cold and warm and then a lobster 1200gr for two.
Very fresh and tasty!
I wanted to try also a primi, but the owner recommend to try this the next time as it would be too much with the lobster.
He was right.
Also the traditional thin bred is much better than what you get usually, warm out of the oven, slightly salted with olive oil.
He also could give good recommendation for the wine pairing and a lot of wines ayailable by the glass. We had a fresh opened bottle of local sparkling (Champagne method) wine by the glass as a start, Oscari Alghero Torbago Spumante from Sella & Mosca . Prices for the top service and quality are reasonable. I cannot understand others commented that a glass of wine is expensive for 5 Euros etc. Not for the quality and atmosphere!
Thank you, we will come again!
