MUSEO NAZIONALE G.A. SANNA
National Museum of Sassari presenting the traces of civilizations that have succeeded in Sardinia
The National Museum of Sassari takes the name of Giovanni Antonio Sanna in 1931. This native of the town, an art lover, donated his collection of antiques to the museum. The different rooms present the traces of the civilizations that succeeded each other in Sardinia. Vases and ceramics, increasingly refined and worked over the centuries, can be seen. The centrepiece of the museum is the superb collection of bronze statuettes from the Nuraghic period, including the "Olmedo model".
