MERCATO CIVICO

Originally, the market of Sassari was held in Piazza Tola. After twenty years of unfinished projects and unfinished works, the Sassari municipal market opened in December 2012. The Sassari market, a high point of city life, has taken over Piazza Mercato where in the 17th century the slaughterhouses were located. Modern and functional, the new building covers more than 2,000^{square metres}; the food products arrive fresh from the countryside and the surrounding coasts. Not to be missed for a good glimpse of a colourful Sardinia.
