Managed by a cooperative, this youth hostel was set up in the former lodgings of the penitentiary guards who lived on the island in the 19th century. The rooms, while rather spartan, are quite expensive: that's the price to pay for sleeping in a unique setting. And let's not forget that everything is imported from the main island, so costs are skyrocketing. The more independent can rent bicycles to get to the resort, but a shuttle service also runs from the landing stage.
