A small room with a refined decoration is hidden in an alleyway in the old town. The owner promises a real cuisine made with fresh ingredients and small local production. The delicatessen or cheese tasting platters are very popular with the regulars and accompany a glass of wine at aperitif time. In the evening, generous 50 cm pizzas come out of the oven over a wood fire. The menu changes regularly and the suggestions of the day are posted on the slate. The real plus of this little star is its upstairs terrace. This is a good address!

Chefs sitting on the kitchen counter in plain site playing with their phones, the man who fancies himself the boss also paying a lot more attention to his phone than the customers, the pasta dishes drenched with the same bitter tomato sauce that even outside Italy would quite pass, 9 pieces of half grilled vegetables for €6, salad looking like fresh out of one of those pre-mix salad baggies from the supermarket. It was raining, we were cold and had a hungry toddler with us otherwise after getting a menu presented to us on a tablet we’d have definitely left again before even ordering.
Don’t really wanna bash this place and the people in it because everyone was quite friendly and genuinely surprised once I’d told them the food and general experience wasn’t up to standard. I’m just a bit tired of everybody thinking they can run a restaurant when clearly working hard and treating food and customers with love and respect isn’t very high up on their list.
It’s Italy - food is extraordinary here so everyone stop with your ‘omfgwhatarooftopseaviewsoftcushinonmyseathighlyinstagramable’ 5Star reviews and rate a place properly.
The staff was attentive and prompt; a glance in their direction would have them at your table in no time. However, their choice of attire was a tad surprising. While I don't expect them to be in suits, seeing them in tracksuits felt a bit casual for the setting. A pair of jeans and a plain-colored t-shirt would seem more fitting.
Would recommend for those in search of good food and prompt service, but be prepared for a slightly casual dress code.
