Church with a precious wooden Christ of the XVI century in Alghero
This small church with a somewhat austere façade was built in 1662. The bell tower with its glazed tile dome is in Spanish colonial style. Inside, a precious wooden Christ from the 16th century appears next to several paintings of the Flemish school. The crucifix was recovered following the sinking of a Spanish ship in the bay of Porto Conte. It is exhibited in the streets of Alghero during the Holy Week processions.
