ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
Museum with some of the objects found in the San Michele cave
Located in the former 18th century convent of the Poor Clares behind the cathedral, the museum brings together some of the objects discovered in the cave of San Michele. The works on display come mainly from private donations which have made it possible to build up a very fine collection of statues and customary bronzes from the Bronze Age. It also exhibits an important numismatic collection including coins from the Punic, Roman and medieval periods found in the convent. Also remarkable are the two copper ingots from the Nuragic period.
