TRENINO VERDE OUEST
Tourist train to discover isolated natural landscapes
The trenino verde is a tourist train that takes the disused railways of the Sardinian mountains. It runs only in summer and allows you to discover the beauty of the isolated natural landscapes that the British writer D.H. Lawrence loved so much. The train takes off from Bosa Marina to climb up to Sindia and then to Macomer, 46 km inland. Powered by diesel, it bumps quietly along the slopes of the hinterland, then crosses the high plateau of Campeda. The highest point of the line is 547 metres above sea level.
