MUSEO DELLE CONCE
Museum of the Tannery recalling the life and work of the tanners in Bosa
Opened in 2011, the Tannery Museum aims to tell the life and work of the tanners in Bosa. But it is also the only museum dedicated to the work of tanners in Italy. The tannery (la concia) was indeed the main economic activity of the town since the 17th century. A collection of photographs and old utensils gives a better understanding of the different phases of leather and fabric processing. The large room with a glass floor on thefirst floor allows an original view of the tannery's basement.
