BASILICA DI SANTA GIUSTA
Ancient cathedral with naves supported by different columns.
This ancient cathedral built in trachyte, a jewel of the 12th century, is the work of Pisan, Lombard, Arab and local masters. Its naves are supported by very different columns from the ancient Phoenician, Punic and Romanesque cities of Neapolis, Tharros and Othoca. The basilica has undergone some modifications over the centuries, including the reconstruction of its bell tower in 1906. The square in front of the cathedral is the best place from where you can follow the regatta of Is Fassonis, which takes place on the first Sunday of August on the pond in front of the town.
