Mineralogical museum and laboratory with an interesting collection of rare stones
In 1871 a school for mine managers was opened in Iglesias, with a Mineralogical Museum and a laboratory. In 1911 the school moved to buildings financed by the engineer Giorgio Asproni, to whom the Institute is dedicated. The museum displays an interesting collection of rare stones found in the Iglesiente area. It also exhibits original machines and all kinds of other mining-related tools, scale models and numerous photographs.
