CASA ZAPATA
Museum in a palace in the center of Barumini, in front of the Church of the Immaculate.
The small Spanish Zapata palace was built in the 16th century and inhabited until 1980 by the Zapata dynasty, who arrived around 1300. A set of walkways and glass floors allow visitors to enjoy an aerial view of the Nuragic complex discovered during the restoration. The museum section occupies 3 buildings in the outbuildings: a collection of objects found at the Su Nuraxi and Church nuraghe sites, historical documents that belonged to the family and objects from the daily life of Sardinians in the last century.
